About Family Run
The race for everyone
The Family Run is the most popular and inclusive event of the Milano Marathon weekend: a 4-kilometer run-walk open to everyone, without age limits, scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026 in Milan (Municipality of Milan, Lombardy). It is designed for families, children, beginners, and anyone who wants to experience the marathon celebration without the commitment of a competitive race.
From CityLife to Vigorelli
The start is on via Arona, in the modern CityLife district, and the finish is inside the Maspes Vigorelli velodrome, on via Savonarola. The route winds mainly within CityLife, on roads completely closed to traffic, in a safe environment suitable for all ages. Starts are in waves of about 300 people every 10 minutes, beginning at 9:00 AM.
Party at the finish line
At the Maspes Vigorelli velodrome, upon arrival, participants can discover new offerings at the exhibition stands and explore other sports disciplines thanks to collaboration with local sports clubs. The Family Run is organized by RCS Sports & Events in collaboration with OPES (Organization for Sports Education).
Part of a big celebration
The Family Run is part of the Wizz Air Milano Marathon weekend, alongside the marathon and the solidarity relay: three days during which Milan transforms into the Italian capital of running, combining sport, families, and fun.

The 2026 Milano Marathon Family Run takes place on Saturday, April 11. The 4 km run-walk, open to everyone without age limits, starts from via Arona in the CityLife district and finishes inside the Maspes Vigorelli velodrome, on a traffic-free route.
