The Christmas Village
The Christmas village in Piazzale degli Alpini, in front of the station, is the heart of the markets: wooden chalets offer artisan products, decorations and local specialties such as cheeses, honey and the unmissable mulled wine. An opportunity to discover the flavors and crafts of the Bergamo area while strolling among the lights.
Christmas Design
The big new feature in recent years is Christmas Design, a widespread exhibition of author light installations. Along a path connecting via Mazzini to Piazza della Cittadella, about fifteen works illuminate the city center, combining contemporary art and Christmas tradition in a particularly evocative experience in the evening hours. The exhibition is free and outdoors.
Lights, Ferris Wheel and Skating
Bergamo is adorned with kilometers of lights, while a Ferris wheel offers a complete view of the illuminated city and an ice-skating rink adds movement and fun. Between Città Alta and the lower city, Bergamo's Christmas offers a complete experience, capable of combining the magic of traditions with the charm of art and design. The Christmas village in Piazzale degli Alpini is located next to the Bergamo train station. Christmas Design is spread throughout the city center, between via Mazzini and Piazza della Cittadella (in Città Alta), reachable on foot or by funicular.
Admission
The markets and the Christmas Design exhibition are free to enter. The Ferris wheel and the ice-skating rink require a fee.
