Mercatale Steak Championship

The 2025 edition, the twelfth, was held on June 13 and 14 in Piazza Vittorio Veneto in Mercatale Val di Pesa, a village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa. Participants purchased their own steak at the Macelleria Coop, with a food truck in the square, and the Macelleria Tozzetti, then entrusted them to the Chianti Master Grillers for cooking over the coals.

Ample space was dedicated to demonstrations of meat preparation and cooking, while music, dancing, and singing enlivened both evenings, with local wines offered by the San Casciano Classico association.
