Half a century of fried fish

The Meda Fish Festival is one of the longest-running and most popular gastronomic festivals in the Brianza area. It takes place at the Centro Sportivo Città di Meda, in Via Icmesa, in the Municipality of Meda (Province of Monza and Brianza), and is organized by the sports association A.S.D. I Gattoni with the patronage of the Municipality. With almost half a century of history, it is an event deeply rooted in Meda's summer.

Fried fish is the star

The signature dish of the festival is fried fish, served along with other seafood specialties on opening nights. For several weekends in July, the sports center transforms into a large open-air restaurant that attracts thousands of people, drawn by the quality of the food and the convivial atmosphere.

A history of volunteering

Behind the festival is the commitment of the volunteers of A.S.D. I Gattoni, who every year put together a complex organization to welcome the large number of visitors. After the cancellation of 2024 for management reasons, the festival has resumed, confirming the strong bond between the event and the community and the desire not to lose such a cherished tradition.

The Fish Festival is an integral part of Meda's summer calendar: an opportunity for families and friends to gather on July evenings around a good meal. Its continuity over time makes it a landmark for festival enthusiasts in Brianza and a symbol of the summer conviviality of the municipality of Meda.
