About May Festival

The May Festival enlivens the narrow streets of the historic centre of Riva di Solto, a charming village on Lake Iseo in the province of Bergamo. A spring day with craft and food markets, children's workshops, art exhibitions, and live music. Strolling along the lakefront and among the stone houses, residents and visitors discover an authentic corner of the Sebino region in celebration.

The lakeside village dresses up for spring

The May Festival is the event that inaugurates the beautiful season in Riva di Solto, one of the most picturesque villages on Lake Iseo, in the province of Bergamo. The streets of the historic centre and the lakefront come alive for an entire day with stalls, scents, and colours, in a festive atmosphere that involves the entire community.

Crafts, taste, and creativity

The heart of the event is the market of artisanal and food products, which winds through the alleys and small squares of the village. For the little ones, there are workshops (by reservation), while art lovers can visit dedicated exhibitions, which in the past have been enriched by watercolour exhibitions inspired by the relationship between the mountains and the lake.

Music and lakeside atmosphere

Accompanying the day is live music, which fills the streets of the town and invites you to linger from one stall to another. The setting is the unique historic centre of Riva di Solto, with its stone houses overlooking the water: a walk through art, flavours, and tradition that tells the most genuine soul of the Upper Sebino.
