The De.Co. cherry festival between the Palladian Villa and the agricultural traditions of Montello
In Maser, a village in the Treviso foothills at the foot of Montello, the cherry is an ancient identity: its cultivation has been documented for centuries and today it is protected by the Communal Designation (De.Co.). Every year the Maser Cherry Exhibition celebrates it with an event that, in 2026, reaches its 34th edition, attracting visitors from all over the province of Treviso.
The scenic heart of the festival is the Villa di Maser (Villa Barbaro), a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio frescoed by Paolo Veronese and inscribed in the UNESCO heritage. Here, the event 'ndar par Cantine is held, with local wine producers opening their stalls in the villa's gardens. The event thus intertwines the three identity products of the territory: cherries, wine, and extra virgin olive oil.
Alongside the food and wine sector, the exhibition offers conferences dedicated to agricultural culture, the award ceremony for the best extra virgin olive oil competition, and musical moments with local bands. Organized by the Pro Loco of Maser with the Municipality of Maser and the work of volunteers, the festival culminates in a parade of associations and the opening of food and wine stands. An event that tells the rural soul of this corner of Veneto, between Palladian history and seasonal flavors.
The 2026 edition, the 34th, opens on Sunday, May 24, with 'ndar par Cantine in Villa di Maser, a tour among local wine producers in the gardens of the Palladian villa. On Saturday, May 30, there will be a conference on agricultural culture, the award ceremony for the best extra virgin olive oil competition, and in the evening, a concert by the Band in the Saggio district. On Sunday, May 31, the official inauguration at Villa di Maser, with a parade of associations at noon and the opening of food and wine stands dedicated to the De.Co. cherry.
Full program and times will be released by the Pro Loco of Maser and the Municipality closer to the event.
