Marracash returns to his home neighbourhood for a hip hop block party in the street
The Marra Block Party is the special event with which Marracash celebrated his connection with his home neighbourhood, Barona (Municipality 6, City of Milan, Lombardy). Along Via Enrico De Nicola, the rapper brought a big block party in pure hip hop style, inspired by the historic street parties of global metropolises, where music is born and lived in the heart of the neighbourhood.
More than just a concert, the Marra Block Party was conceived as an act of giving back to the community. The entire proceeds from ticket sales, net of VAT and SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers), were allocated to social projects and the redevelopment of educational and sports facilities in Barona. A gesture that links the artist's great popularity – fresh from the diamond success of the album Persona – to the territory that raised him.
The choice of Barona, a working-class neighbourhood in the southwest of Milan, is no coincidence: it is Marracash's place of origin and a symbol of peripheral and authentic Milan. For one day, the neighbourhood became an urban stage, transforming the street into a space for celebration, identity, and belonging, in an event that united music, community, and social commitment.
The Marra Block Party took place on Saturday, April 18, 2026, on Via Enrico De Nicola, in the Barona neighbourhood of Milan. Marracash returned to his home neighbourhood for a big street party in hip hop style, featuring a concert by the Milanese rapper.
The tickets, personalised and sold in limited numbers for €25, had a charitable purpose: the entire proceeds, net of VAT and SIAE, were allocated to social projects and the redevelopment of educational and sports facilities in Barona. The event was inspired by the hip hop block parties of major global cities.
