Fireworks, music, and a magical night at MagicLand in Valmontone
The MagicFire Festival is the most anticipated event of the summer at MagicLand, the massive amusement park in Valmontone, located in the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, in the Lazio region. For one night, the largest theme park in Central-Southern Italy turns into an open-air stage: artistic performances, live music, DJ sets, and special effects serve as a prelude to the grand finale, a spectacular pyrotechnic show that illuminates the sky above the park's bay.
The MagicFire Festival evolved over the years from a fireworks championship, once presented as the first and most important in Italy, where the best Italian and international pyrotechnic companies competed with firework batteries, luminous waterfalls, and aerial choreography to win the event's trophy. International editions hosted teams from Canada, Switzerland, and Slovakia, alongside the excellence of Italy's great pyrotechnic tradition. Over time, the format evolved into a unique show: today, the event concentrates music, entertainment, and a grand pyromusical display into a single evening.
The 2026 edition, scheduled for Saturday, August 8, falls during a special summer: MagicLand celebrates its 15th anniversary with a calendar of evenings running from July 18 to September 5, featuring the Luminous night show and the Saturday Magic Nights with extended opening hours. The MagicFire Festival is the highlight: the stage will feature Francesco Caggiano, fresh from his success on The Voice Generations, singer-songwriter Camilla Pandozzi, and Dino Brown, a well-known face of the dance and radio scene, all leading up to the grand pyrotechnic finale.
During the evening, MagicLand's attractions remain open until late at night: guests can move from roller coasters to the show, with food areas, roving entertainment, and activities for all ages. It is a celebration designed for families and groups of friends alike, combining the park's adrenaline with the wonder of fireworks: in past editions, the final show lasted approximately 25 minutes, featuring explosions of color and light displays synchronized to music.
Valmontone, nestled at the foot of the Prenestini Mountains along the Sacco Valley, is one of the entertainment capitals of Lazio: in addition to MagicLand, it hosts a large outlet mall and the 17th-century Palazzo Doria Pamphilj. Its location, about 40 kilometers from Rome and just a stone's throw from the A1 motorway exit, makes the MagicFire Festival an evening easily accessible from the entire region and a perfect opportunity to discover this corner of Lazio between the Castelli Romani and the Ciociaria area.

As in past editions, attractions remain open until late at night, and the pyrotechnic show is included in the park's admission ticket.
By car: A1 Rome-Naples motorway, Valmontone exit; the park is located on Via della Pace, with ample parking. By train: FL6 regional line Rome-Cassino, Valmontone station, then shuttle connection to the park. From Rome: approximately 40 km, a 35-45 minute journey.
The show is included in the park ticket; in past editions, a reduced-rate evening entry was available (from 6 PM, starting at โฌ9.90). Updated tickets and rates are available at magicland.it.
Arrive in the late afternoon to enjoy the attractions before the show, which in recent editions has started around 10 PM. Bring a light jacket for the evening: summer nights in the Sacco Valley can be cool.
