Three Triestine theatres together in the Sartorio Museum garden
Let's Play is a festival born from a brilliant idea: to make three of Trieste's most important theatrical institutions collaborate, joining forces for a shared summer programme. The "three theatres" are La Contrada, Teatro Miela (Bonawentura), and Teatro Stabile Sloveno, representing the Italian and Slovenian souls of the city. Together, they bring the Sartorio Museum garden to life, transforming it into an open-air stage under the stars.
The setting is the enchanting garden of the Sartorio Museum, a green oasis overlooking the sea in the heart of Trieste. The performances take place on summer evenings, spread over several weekends, offering the public a varied programme that spans different genres and languages, the result of the plurality of the three companies involved.
Let's Play is included in the programme of Trieste Estate, the major event promoted by the Municipality of Trieste. The co-production between three theatres of different traditions, Italian and Slovenian, makes this festival a symbol of the bilingual cultural coexistence that characterises Trieste, a city of borders and encounters.
With a combined ticket formula, Let's Play invites you to follow the entire festival and discover the variety of Triestine theatre in a charming setting. An opportunity to experience summer evenings filled with live performance, immersed in the greenery and history of the Sartorio Museum.
