About Lambrate Fuorisalone
Lambrooklyn, design outside the box
Lambrate is one of the most creative districts in the Municipality of Milan (Lombardy), an area with an industrial past that transforms into an independent design district during Milan Design Week. Nicknamed "Lambrooklyn" for its atmosphere, the district (Municipality 3) hosts an ecosystem of studios, converted industrial spaces, and galleries that open to the public to present research, experimentation, and self-production projects.
The district's spaces
Events are concentrated along via Ventura, via Conte Rosso, and in the spaces of GreenHub (via Feltre 28/6, entrance from via Maniago). Although the historic "Lambrate Design District" officially concluded in 2022, the district remains widely active, with studios and independent entities continuing to make Lambrate a reference point for research design during Fuorisalone.
An authentic Fuorisalone
Lambrate's offering stands out for its rawer, more experimental approach compared to the more polished districts. Here, projects that would hardly enter commercial circuits find space, presented directly in the designers' studios and workspaces. It is the most genuine face of Milan's design scene, capable of combining the district's manufacturing tradition with contemporary experimentation, with free admission.
Lambrate Fuorisalone — edition 2026
For Milan Design Week 2026, from April 20 to 26, Lambrate confirmed its vocation as an independent design district, with studios, converted industrial spaces, and galleries open to the public. Events were concentrated along via Ventura, via Conte Rosso, and in the spaces of GreenHub (via Feltre 28/6).
Among the new features was the Pet Design District 2026, set up by GreenHub: an industrial house model designed for those living with dogs and cats, with installations, a Pet Bar open daily from 3:30 PM, a photo shooting area for animals, and a series of talks for professionals and enthusiasts. Free admission.
