About Lake Rally
A 4x4 rally in the heart of the Ovadese area
The Lake Rally - Andrea Provera Memorial is an off-road event held in Località Andaina, in the municipality of Silvano d'Orba, in the Province of Alessandria, Lower Piedmont. Conceived and organized by the Gli Schiacciasassi 4x4 club, in collaboration with the New Club 4x4 Ovada, the rally has quickly become a benchmark for 4x4 enthusiasts from Piedmont and nearby Liguria.
The course and skill games
At the heart of the event is a natural trial course laid out across the terrain surrounding the lake of Silvano d'Orba. The track is intricate and technical, with soft and hard variants designed to satisfy both novice drivers and more experienced pilots. Alongside the trial, the day includes skill games and challenges that test precise driving and vehicle control. Participation is reserved for FIFI (Italian Off-Road Federation) members and is limited to a maximum number of vehicles, with mandatory registration.
In memory of Andrea Provera
Launched in 2023, the rally is dedicated to the memory of Andrea Provera and serves as a gathering point for the local off-road community. Edition after edition, the event has grown in participation while maintaining the friendly, family-like spirit that sets it apart.
Motors and solidarity
One of the most important features of the Lake Rally is its charitable purpose: the entire proceeds from the event are donated to the LILT - Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer, provincial branch of Alessandria. The passion for off-roading thus joins a concrete gesture of solidarity, making every edition much more than just a day of motorsport.
A weekend for enthusiasts
The rally attracts crews from all over Piedmont and neighboring regions, transforming the countryside of Silvano d'Orba for a weekend into a meeting point for all types of 4x4 vehicles. Between mud, technical tests, and moments of conviviality, the Lake Rally remains one of the most anticipated events of the spring off-road season in the Alessandria area.
Lake Rally — edition 2026
The 4th Andrea Provera Memorial was held over the weekend of May 30-31, 2026, in Località Andaina, Silvano d'Orba. The event, reserved for FIFI members and limited to a set number of participants, once again featured the natural trial course around the lake with variants for beginners and experts, accompanied by skill games. For this edition as well, the proceeds were donated to the LILT - Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer, provincial branch of Alessandria.

How to get there
Silvano d'Orba is located in the Province of Alessandria, Piedmont. By car, it can be reached via the A26 motorway (Ovada exit), continuing towards Silvano d'Orba; the meeting point is in Località Andaina. By train, the reference station is Ovada, on the Genoa-Acqui Terme line.
