The Laguna Sud Rally and the Meteor Young make up the late August sailing weekend in Chioggia, in the province of Venice. The event opens the ChioggiaVela event and is divided into two distinct but complementary days.
Rally and youth regatta
The first day is dedicated to the Laguna Sud Rally, organized by ChioggiaVela ASD, which takes the boats to navigate the picturesque waters of the southern lagoon. The second day hosts the Meteor Young, a regatta designed as preparation for the National Championship of the Meteor class, with particular attention to the growth of young sailors.
Territory promotion
In addition to the competitive aspect, the event enhances the landscape of the southern lagoon and Chioggia's connection to its maritime vocation, inaugurating the season of the ChioggiaVela event.
Laguna Sud Rally — edition 2026
The sailing weekend Laguna Sud Rally + Meteor Young 2026 takes place on August 29-30, as confirmed by the Chioggia sailing calendar 2026.
On August 29, the Laguna Sud Rally is scheduled, organized by ChioggiaVela ASD; on August 30, it's the turn of the Meteor Young, a regatta designed as preparation for the National Meteor Championship. The two days open the ChioggiaVela event.

How to get there
Chioggia is reachable by car via the SS309 Romea. By train to Venice or Rovigo, then by bus. The regattas can be watched from the harbor banks and the southern lagoon.
Participation
Regattas are reserved for registered boats. Viewing from land is free. Info: www.rallydellalaguna.it.
