La Mezza 300 - Valnerina Gran Fondo is a non-competitive, free-ride cycling event, organised by ASD Sempresuipedali, starting and finishing in Cascia, in the province of Perugia, from Piazza San Francesco. Designed for those who want to spend a day in the saddle, it is suitable for road bikes and e-bikes and focuses on the beauty of the landscape rather than competition.
Multiple Routes Through Villages and Mountains
The event offers multiple routes of varying lengths and gradients — from the shortest, accessible to many, to the most challenging exceeding one hundred kilometers — that traverse the spectacular landscapes of Valnerina, through the villages, valleys, and mountains of this corner of Umbria. The routes are signposted and equipped with control points, with GPS tracks available for download.

More than a race, La Mezza 300 is an opportunity to discover the Valnerina territory and the Municipality of Cascia by bike, in a convivial atmosphere that brings together athletes, cycle tourists, and families. The 2026 edition, the 7th, of La Mezza 300 - Valnerina Gran Fondo takes place on Sunday, July 12, with start and finish in Cascia, Piazza San Francesco. The event, a free-ride and suitable for road bikes and e-bikes, offers three routes of varying lengths and gradients through the spectacular landscapes of Valnerina.

- 8:15–8:30 AM — "French-style" start (rolling start)
The Routes
- Short: 58 km, 890 m elevation gain
- Medium: 87 km, 1,480 m elevation gain
- Long: 111 km, 1,980 m elevation gain
Routes are signposted with chip-controlled checkpoints and downloadable GPS tracks. Online registration (via Icron.it, until July 10) and on-site on July 11 and 12.
