L'Incanto del Natale a Corsico

A month of Christmas magic

In Corsico, a town in the province of Milan on the Naviglio Grande canal, Christmas lasts a whole month. The L'Incanto del Natale event enlivens the historic centre from December 8th to January 6th, transforming the city's streets and squares into a large festive village, with a packed schedule of free events for all ages. The organization is managed by the Municipality of Corsico together with local associations and traders.

The tree, the lights, and the ice rink

The official start is marked by the lighting of the large Christmas tree in Via Cavour: seven metres high, three hundred baubles, and over four thousand LED lights, illuminated after a countdown accompanied by the music of the Corpo Musicale Città di Corsico. Simultaneously, the ice skating rink opens in Piazzetta della Fontana dell'Incontro, one of the most beloved attractions for all ages throughout the festive season.

Market, concerts, and shows

Along Via Cavour, the traditional Christmas market unfolds with artisan stalls, while Via Manzoni hosts the food court with street food, sweets, roasted chestnuts, and mulled wine offered by the Alpini. The schedule includes concerts – from big band to gospel – theatrical performances, magic shows, a mini-train through the city streets, and many activities for children, from creative workshops to puppet shows.

From Santa Claus to the Befana

The heart of the enchantment is the North Pole Village with Santa's house, set up at Sala La Pianta, where children can meet Santa Claus. The event accompanies the city until New Year's Eve, with celebrations on the ice rink, and concludes on January 6th with the arrival of the Befana, featuring readings, workshops, and shows. A month of events that makes Corsico one of the most vibrant Christmas destinations in the southwest of Milan.
