Edition 2025 — Dumpling Festival

In the summer of 2025, the Knödelfest once again enlivened the square of Castelrotto with its days dedicated to South Tyrolean dumplings. Amidst the historic facades of the village, residents and tourists gathered to enjoy speck, spinach, cheese, and sweet dumplings, accompanied by live music and local specialties. A traditional summer event on the Sciliar Plateau.

The 2025 edition of the Dumpling Festival confirmed the success of this summer event in the municipality of Castelrotto (Kastelruth), in the province of Bolzano. In the village square, visitors were able to taste the entire range of South Tyrolean dumplings - speck, spinach, cheese, and the sweet apricot and strawberry variant - in a convivial and informal setting.

The event, with free admission, alternated gastronomy and live music with local bands, warming up the summer evenings on the Sciliar Plateau. The festival proved to be a tasty stop for those spending their holidays in the Alpe di Siusi Dolomites.
