The national dance competition on the Venetian coast
Born in 1998, the Jesolo Dance Contest is one of the longest-running and most followed dance competitions on the national scene. Every spring, the Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo, in the Province of Venice, hosts schools, academies, and dancers from all over Italy for two days entirely dedicated to dance in all its forms.
The competition features a very wide range of styles: urban and hip-hop disciplines liven up the first day, while the second is reserved for classical, modern, and contemporary dance. The choreographies, both individual and group, are evaluated by a jury of industry professionals.
In addition to the competitive aspect, the Jesolo Dance Contest is also an opportunity for growth and comparison for young dancers: scholarships, prizes, and commendations offer the most talented opportunities for training and visibility. The event thus confirms itself as a point of reference for amateur and academic dance in the Veneto region.
The 19th edition of the Jesolo Dance Contest was held on May 23 and 24, 2026, at the Palazzo del Turismo in Jesolo, attracting dance schools from all over Italy.
The competition divided the two days by discipline: Saturday was dedicated to urban and hip-hop dances, Sunday to classical, modern, and contemporary dance. The competing choreographies were evaluated by a jury of professionals, in a weekend that combined competition, training, and performance.
