About Jazz'Inn

Jazz'Inn is the national tour for collaborative innovation by Fondazione Ampioraggio: a widespread open innovation living lab that transforms an entire village into an open-air laboratory where businesses, startups, researchers, institutions, and citizens design the future of inland areas together. In 2026, for its tenth edition, it chooses Ostra (province of Ancona, Marche) as the first stop, from June 29th to July 3rd, around the theme "Augmented Humanity. People Beyond Technology".

What is Jazz'Inn?

Jazz'Inn is the travelling tour for collaborative innovation promoted by Fondazione Ampioraggio, active since 2017. It is not a music festival, despite the name recalling jazz: it is an open innovation living lab that each year chooses an Italian territory and transforms it for a few days into a capital of widespread innovation. The idea is simple and powerful: innovation is not just technological development, but the ability to think and generate the future together, putting people, relationships, and collective intelligence back at the centre.

Ostra, first stop of the tenth anniversary

In 2026, Jazz'Inn turns ten years old and celebrates its tenth anniversary with an unprecedented two-part format: the Municipality of Ostra, in the heart of the Vallesina in the province of Ancona, hosts the summer event from June 29th to July 3rd, while Rome hosts the national closing from November 9th to 13th. It is the first time the tour combines a village in inland areas with a metropolitan city, to build concrete bridges between small centres and large cities. Ostra is the Foundation's first partner Municipality and becomes, for the occasion, a real demo smart lab, where technological solutions designed to reduce the isolation of inland areas are made available.

How the living lab works

The core of Jazz'Inn is the widespread open innovation laboratory: a mechanism that brings together "Case Giver" โ€” entities, businesses, or organizations that bring a concrete problem or project to be developed โ€” with innovators, startups, SMEs, micro-enterprises, teams of aspiring entrepreneurs, and institutions, to find applicable solutions. The sectors at the centre of the working groups range from agritech to sustainable tourism, from circular fashion to cultural heritage, from mobility to energy, and digital healthcare, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, and augmented reality. Between 600 and 900 participants from all over Italy are expected in Ostra.

The theme: Augmented Humanity

The 2026 edition revolves around the theme "Augmented Humanity. People Beyond Technology": the idea that technology cannot be the end goal of human progress, but must remain a tool at the service of the person. A common thread that runs through the working groups, meetings, and public discussion moments over the five days in Ostra.

Why it's worth it

For those living in the Marche region and for those involved in innovation, territorial regeneration, and new economies of inland areas, Jazz'Inn in Ostra is a rare opportunity: a national event that brings administrators, researchers, and entrepreneurs from all over Italy to a village in the Marche region, in an atmosphere of shared planning that values the territory and its traditions.

Jazz'Inn โ€” edition 2026

The tenth edition of Jazz'Inn chooses Ostra as its first stop, from June 29th to July 3rd, 2026, on the theme "Augmented Humanity. People Beyond Technology". Five days of a widespread living lab that transforms the Vallesina village into a national open innovation laboratory, with a second event in Rome from November 9th to 13th.

For its tenth anniversary, Fondazione Ampioraggio chooses a two-stop format: Ostra (AN) from June 29th to July 3rd and Rome from November 9th to 13th, 2026. Ostra, the Foundation's first partner Municipality, becomes a demo smart lab where technological solutions are tested to reduce the isolation of inland areas. Between 600 and 900 participants from all over Italy are expected.

The event is organised by Fondazione Ampioraggio with the support of the Marche Region and the Municipality of Ostra.

Programme Jazz'Inn 2026

Opening โ€” June 29th

The Ostra event opens on the afternoon of June 29th with "Mothers of Peace. Building Peace, Sowing Hope", a live link from Palestine with a Palestinian mother and an Israeli mother, both having lost their sons in war. The meeting, strongly desired by the Foundation's president Giovanna Ruggiero, is broadcast with simultaneous translation.

The living lab days โ€” June 29th / July 3rd

The heart of the event is the widespread open innovation laboratory: "Case Giver" (businesses and organisations bringing a problem or project) meet innovators, startups, SMEs, micro-enterprises, and teams of aspiring entrepreneurs to build concrete solutions. The working groups address sectors such as:

  • Agritech and new economies of inland areas
  • Sustainable tourism and cultural heritage
  • Circular fashion
  • Mobility and energy
  • Digital healthcare

Enabling technologies at the centre of the discussion: artificial intelligence, IoT, blockchain, and augmented reality. Ostra also functions as a demo smart lab, providing administrators from all over Italy with replicable solutions for their respective territories.

The selection

Fifty projects have been selected by Fondazione Ampioraggio, plus ten projects indicated by the Municipality of Ostra. Applications closed on May 31st, 2026.

Second stop โ€” Rome, November 9th-13th

The concluding event takes place in Rome, at the Acquario Romano, the first participation of a metropolitan city in the tour, completing the dialogue between villages and large cities.
