The great widespread week of craft beer, with many events in Milan's venues
Italy Beer Week is the event that, every spring, celebrates Italian craft beer through a widespread and extensive format. Organized by the leading industry portal Cronache di Birra, it brings together hundreds of events across Italy in a single week: in Milan (Lombardy), one of the cities with the most vibrant brewing scene in the country, participating breweries, pubs, and venues offer their own schedule of events.
The heart of Italy Beer Week lies in the events held at the venues: guided tastings, tap takeovers (dispensing dedicated to a single brewery), presentations of new beers, gastronomic pairings, meetings with brewers, and production tours. In Milan, the schedule ranges from guided tasting workshops to themed evenings, such as those dedicated to dark beers. It's an opportunity to discover Italian craft breweries and engage with those who produce the beers.
The 2026 edition falls in a symbolic year: the thirtieth anniversary of the Italian craft beer movement, which began in the mid-nineties. Italy Beer Week tells this story of growth and quality, involving hundreds of participants across the Peninsula. For Milan, a city where many of the first venues and breweries set the standard, it is an event that enhances a culture now deeply rooted in the city's fabric.
The 2026 edition of Italy Beer Week was held from March 16 to 22, involving breweries, pubs, beer shops, restaurants, and associations throughout Italy: 246 participants, 177 events, and 89 themed promotions. The edition celebrated thirty years of the Italian craft beer movement.
In Milan, the week opened on Monday, March 16, with a guided tasting workshop, complemented by themed evenings at participating venues, including events dedicated to dark beers. The festival was preceded on March 14 and 15 by the inaugural event, Ballo delle Debuttanti, featuring the presentation of 12 new beers.
Milan's events are part of the national program: 246 participants, 177 events, 89 promotions. Full schedule and venues at italybeerweek.com.
