The economic boom on display at the Rocca di Lonato
Italia del Miracolo. Arte, design e pubblicità 1948-1968 is the exhibition set up at the Rocca visconteo-veneta di Lonato del Garda, in the province of Brescia, in the evocative Sala del Capitano. The exhibition recounts the period of the Italian economic miracle, when the country underwent profound transformation and Made in Italy conquered the world thanks to creativity, design, and communication.
All works come from the Fondazione Massimo e Sonia Cirulli, one of the most important collections dedicated to Italian visual culture of the 20th century. On display are works by great masters such as Bruno Munari, Giovanni Pintori, Erberto Carboni, Ettore Sottsass, and Piero Dorazio, spanning figurative art, graphics, design, and advertising.
The exhibition is divided into three sections that reconstruct post-war advertising, the myth of mobility, and the triumph of textiles, reflecting the imagination of an era when industry and visual culture went hand in hand.
Visiting Italia del Miracolo also means discovering the Rocca di Lonato del Garda, one of Lombardy's most imposing fortresses, managed by the Fondazione Ugo Da Como. The ticket, in fact, includes both admission to the exhibition and a visit to the monumental complex, for an experience that combines 20th-century art and historical heritage.
