Ariano nel Polesine, in the province of Rovigo, is a town marked by a water border: the historic iron bridge connects it to Ariano Ferrarese, on the other side of the Po branch, already in Emilia territory. It is precisely on this structure that one of the most original festivals in the Po Delta Park comes to life every year.
A 110-Meter Long Table
The heart of the Festa sul Ponte di Ferro is a spectacular table approximately 110 meters long set up on the bridge: a double table along which diners sit facing each other, between Veneto and Emilia. Exclusively local products, cooked on the spot, are served along the entire table, in a menu that celebrates the gastronomic traditions of both banks.
Music and Conviviality on the Delta
The atmosphere is that of great community festivals: live music, toasts, and the landscape of the Po Delta as a backdrop. The event, recurring in September, is organized with the contribution of the Pro Loco Ariano nel Polesine and represents an opportunity to rediscover the bond between two communities divided by an administrative border but united by history and the river.
