Lissone, the furniture city

Few places in Italy can tell the story of design like Lissone, in the heart of Brianza, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. The historic capital of furniture production, the city hosts Intrecci di Design every spring, a widespread exhibition that, in conjunction with Milan's Salone del Mobile and Design Week, transforms Lissone into a true cultural itinerary between past and present.

A widespread journey through the city

For about six weeks, design moves out of traditional venues and spreads throughout the urban space. The event venues include the MAC — Museum of Contemporary Art, the Civic Library, the showrooms on Via Carducci, the regenerated spaces of the former goods yard, and other city locations. Visitors are invited to explore exhibitions, installations, and display paths, discovering how Lissone reinvents itself as a "workshop-city".

Exhibitions, workshops, and talks

The program alternates between exhibitions, thematic paths, open workshops, and meetings with designers and artisans. Topics range from reflections on "objects of affection" to days dedicated to workshops and music, and events that intertwine art, lighting, and design.
