A March dedicated to women in Lissone
Every year, on the occasion of International Women's Day, the Municipality of Lissone, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, dedicates an entire month of events to celebrating the role of women in society. Impronta Donna is not a single event but a widespread festival that, throughout March, fills the city's cultural venues with concerts, exhibitions, shows, and in-depth meetings.
The venues of the festival
The heart of the event beats between two historic locations: the Palazzo Terragni in Piazza Libertà , with its Auditorium and Exhibition Hall, and the Civic Library in Piazza IV Novembre. Here, musical evenings, painting and costume exhibitions, theatrical performances, and round tables alternate, in a journey designed to reflect on the role of women in history, art, sport, and business.
Music, art, and words
The program brings together very different registers: from multimedia concerts dedicated to the women of Baroque Venice to painting exhibitions, from word and music performances to meetings with local entrepreneurs and protagonists. An important part is also reserved for the Brianza dialect and popular memory, with story-concerts that revive voices and sayings from the local tradition.
A network of associations
The strength of Impronta Donna lies in the collaboration between the Municipal Administration and numerous Lissone associations, which contribute their expertise, archives, and passions. The result is a choral festival, capable of engaging diverse audiences and transforming the month of March into an occasion for aggregation and growth for the entire city.
Impronta Donna — edition 2026
Throughout March 2026, Lissone dedicates a widespread festival to the female figure between Palazzo Terragni and the Civic Library, featuring concerts, exhibitions, theatrical performances, and in-depth meetings. The event is promoted by the Municipal Administration in collaboration with QDonna APS, Club Donna Natalia Ginzburg, A.MUS.LI., Associazione Culturale Athéna, GAP - Gruppo Amici del Presepe, and Una Vita in Rosa ONLUS.

- Inauguration of the historical costume exhibition "Stories of Queens and Dresses", focusing on Queen Teodolinda (open throughout March during library hours)
March 6, 9:00 PM — Palazzo Terragni Auditorium
- Multimedia concert "La biondina in gondoleta", music and stories about the women of Baroque Venice
March 7 - 15 — Palazzo Terragni, Exhibition Hall
- Painting exhibition "Women in Sport" (inauguration March 7, 11:00 AM)
