The largest showcase of Italian honeys, on the Lazise lakefront in early October
I Giorni del Miele is the National Beekeeping Fair that every year, in early October, transforms the village of Lazise, in the province of Verona, into the Italian capital of honey. Considered the largest showcase of Italian honeys at European level, the fair attracts beekeepers, producers, and enthusiasts from all over the peninsula.
The beekeepers' stands are set up along Lungolago Marconi and in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II, offering the public the opportunity to taste and buy the many varieties of Italian honey. Admission to the event is free.
The program goes far beyond sales: the fair hosts major national competitions dedicated to honey, such as "L'Ape d'Oro" and "L'Ape della Serenissima", as well as the "Municipalities Friendly to Bees" award. There is also space for education with the educational apiary, the apiary of well-being curated by the Italian Apitherapy Association, photographic exhibitions, conferences on the beekeeping and veterinary sector at the Dogana Veneta, and introductory courses on honey sensory analysis.
Now in its latest editions, over forty years after its inception, the fair is a national reference event for the beekeeping world, capable of combining the promotion of honey with awareness-raising on environmental issues and the protection of bees. All this in the evocative setting of Lake Garda.
The 2026 edition of I Giorni del Miele, the 46th National Beekeeping Fair, takes place in Lazise from Friday, October 6th to Sunday, October 8th, from 10 am to 8 pm. Beekeepers' stands will liven up the Lungolago Marconi and Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
The program includes the apiary of well-being by the Italian Apitherapy Association at Parco Pra' del Principe, the educational apiary and photographic exhibition curated by Luca Mazzocchi, conferences and insights on the beekeeping and veterinary sectors at the Dogana Veneta, an introductory course on honey sensory analysis at the Colà Civic Center, and a basic apitherapy course. Among the competitions: "Municipalities Friendly to Bees", "L'Ape d'Oro", and "L'Ape della Serenissima".
Free admission to the fair; registration is required for some conferences and courses.
