HOTtobre Piccante 2025: the seventh edition
From October 3 to 5, 2025, the Garden Tre Fontane on Via Laurentina, Rome, hosted the seventh edition of HOTtobre Piccante, presented at the Campidoglio and organized by Ipse Dixit, the Roman delegation of the Italian Chili Pepper Academy led by Antonio Bartalotta. Admission was free, with afternoon opening on Friday and continuous hours over the weekend.
Among the most popular moments were the international chili pepper exhibition curated by Arturo Rencricca, with over two hundred and twenty varieties on display, show cooking sessions led by Giancarlo Suriano and Enrico Parrilla, Calabrian wine tastings guided by sommelier Guglielmo Gigliotti, and the eighth Italian Super Hot Championship. There was also great participation in the Grand Pic di Roma challenge, the Bacio Piccante game, and the awards ceremony for the Poesie Piccanti literary contest, hosted by Mariella Sapienza. During the event, the Premio Calabria was awarded to five Calabrian agri-food companies.
