Handmade Pasta Festival – Àla Chiazza

Àla Chiazza 2025, the third edition

From August 8th to 10th, 2025, the historic center of Buccino hosted the third edition of the Handmade Pasta Festival – Àla Chiazza, promoted by the Municipality of Buccino with the support of the Campania Region and the patronage of the Province of Salerno.

The event opened on Friday, August 8th at 6:00 PM at Porta Consina with the inauguration of three exhibitions: «Museum» by Jole Tognelli, «Figure Femminili Alate» by Gino Martino, and «Attraversocittà» by master Fernando Alfonso Mangone. This was followed by the handmade pasta workshop in Piazza Amendola, a local history conference at Cinema Italia, and, late in the evening, «La Notte della Taranta» with master Antonio Amato. The food stalls opened from 7:30 PM.

On Saturday and Sunday, the pace changed: «Aperichiazza» with DJ sets and stands from 11:30 AM in Piazza Amendola, traditional games and treasure hunts in the afternoon, the food-and-wine-literary meeting «Boccacci e Boccacci» in the garden of Casa Movesi, and in the evening, tarantella and the concert by Mario Maglione. Eighteen local businesses participated in the taste route.

In closing, Mayor Pasquale Freda emphasized how the festival has now become an event capable of attracting residents and tourists from the entire district.
