The paraclimbing race of Carate Brianza
In Carate Brianza, in the Province of Monza and Brianza, the Handcycling Race by PD3R is the great paraclimbing festival. Organized by the association Piccoli Diavoli 3 Ruote ASD ONLUS with the patronage of the Municipality and the support of the Lombardy Region, the race is part of the Italian Cycling Federation - Paralympic Sector calendar and is considered a national benchmark for the handbike discipline.
The event is divided into two distinct moments. In the morning, the children are the protagonists: inclusive sports activities and introduction to Paralympic sports are organized for students of primary, secondary, and high schools, in collaboration with the Parents' Association of Carate Brianza and other local organizations. In the afternoon, there is space for official handcycling races, with athletes from various Italian regions and abroad, for a competition of high technical and human level.
More than just a race, the Handcycling Race is a manifesto of inclusion. Sport here becomes a universal language of determination and passion, capable of breaking down barriers and raising public awareness, especially among young people, about the values of paraclimbing. The start and finish are hosted at the Brianza Plastica area.
Now in its fifth edition, the event has grown to become an anticipated occasion, capable of involving schools, families, and enthusiasts. For the community of Carate Brianza, it represents a moment of pride and participation around the values of sport for all.
The 5th Handcycling Race Carate Brianza by PD3R takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, with start and finish at the Brianza Plastica area. The 2026 edition is particularly significant as it marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the association Piccoli Diavoli 3 Ruote ASD ONLUS.
