Gran Galà del Pizzolo of Sortino

The second edition of the Gran Galà del Pizzolo of Sortino was held on October 25 and 26, 2025, in the historic center of the Municipality of Sortino, in the province of Syracuse. The event celebrated the Sortino pizzolo, a savory leavened product recognized as a DeCo product, offering it in its numerous variations: from the traditional semolina-based recipe to gourmet interpretations and sweet versions with ricotta and honey. The days were enlivened by food stalls, live music, folk performances, and cooking demonstrations, with the historic center transformed into a great showcase of taste and Iblean tradition.
