Edition 2025 — Getreidemahltage
Getreidemahltage 2025
In the summer of 2025, the Naturparkhaus Trudner Horn, the visitor center for the Monte Corno Nature Park in Truden, renewed its traditional appointment with the Getreidemahltage. On select Friday afternoons between July and August, miller Valentin Pernter operated South Tyrol's only elevator mill, showing visitors how grain was transformed into flour.
The milled flour was then kneaded and baked in the wood-fired oven set up next to the visitor center, allowing visitors to rediscover the flavors of bread from the past. The initiative, which was free of charge and required reservations, confirmed the role of the Naturparkhaus as a guardian of the rural traditions of the lower Adige Valley.
