The Genoa International Half Marathon, known as La Mezza di Genova, is one of the most important sporting events in Liguria. Every spring it attracts thousands of runners who compete along a unique route, capable of combining athletic performance with the discovery of the city's beauties. The start is from Piazza Caricamento, in the heart of the Old Port of Genoa.

A spectacular route

What makes this race special is the route, which crosses the city's most iconic places: the Aquarium, Piazza De Ferrari, via XX Settembre, and the picturesque seaside village of Boccadasse. The most evocative stretch is on the Sopraelevata, the elevated road that runs along the port, closed to traffic and exclusively reserved for runners: a unique experience for those running, with a panoramic view of the port and the sea as far as the eye can see.

The event is divided into several competitions to involve every type of participant. The 21 km Half Marathon is the main competitive race; the 13 km Corri Genova is designed for those seeking a more accessible challenge; the 3 km Family Run, non-competitive, is dedicated to families and children.
