Two evenings of music, entertainment, and food and wine in the historic center of Cartoceto
Every summer, the historic center of Cartoceto, a small village in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino famous for its DOP extra virgin olive oil, transforms into an open-air stage. Dal Tramonto alle Stelle is the mid-summer festival organized by the Pro Loco Cartoceto: two evenings where music, entertainment, and food and wine intertwine through the village streets, from sunset until late at night.
The event has its roots in the Sagra dei Vincisgrassi, established in 1963 by the newly formed Pro Loco to promote the village and its gastronomic tradition. The star was vincisgrasso, the famous Marche lasagna with a rich and spiced ragù. Over the years, the festival has changed its name—becoming Cartoceto con Gusto e Tradizione and then Dal Tramonto alle Stelle—but has retained the same spirit: to showcase the region's beauty and its typical dishes through an evening of conviviality.
The program alternates live concerts, entertainment, and shows with food and wine stands set up in the squares and alleys. The focal point is Piazza Garibaldi, at the foot of the castle walls and in front of the Palazzo del Popolo, a natural setting for evening concerts. Between tastings, you can stroll through the village, enjoying the evening coolness, the lights, and the typical hospitality of the Marche Pro Loco associations.
Dal Tramonto alle Stelle is now a highly anticipated summer event in the lower Metauro Valley, attracting visitors from neighboring towns and the coast. For those who want to discover Cartoceto at its most vibrant, these two evenings are the ideal opportunity: quality food and wine, music, and the unmistakable atmosphere of a village that knows how to celebrate.
The dates for the 2026 edition of Dal Tramonto alle Stelle have been confirmed by Pro Loco Cartoceto: Saturday, July 11th and Sunday, July 12th, 2026, in the historic center of the village. As per tradition, the two evenings will feature live music, entertainment, and food and wine stands with typical regional dishes.
The detailed program—concerts, artists, and schedules—will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks leading up to the event. For updates, it is advisable to follow the official channels of Pro Loco Cartoceto.
