A summer festival in the village of oil

Every summer, the municipality of Cartoceto, a small village in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino famous for its PDO extra virgin olive oil, hosts From Sunset to Stars, the midsummer festival organized by the Pro Loco Cartoceto: two evenings where music, entertainment, and food and wine intertwine, from sunset until late at night.

From Vincisgrassi to today

The event has its roots in the Vincisgrassi Festival, established in 1963 by the newly formed Pro Loco to promote the village and its gastronomic tradition. The star was the vincisgrasso, the famous Marche-style baked lasagna with a rich and spiced ragù. Over the years, the festival has changed its name—becoming Cartoceto with Taste and Tradition and then From Sunset to Stars—but it has kept the same spirit: to showcase the beauty of the area and its typical dishes through an evening of conviviality.

Music, flavors, and atmosphere

The program alternates live concerts, entertainment, and performances with food and wine stands featuring typical local dishes. Between one taste and another, you can enjoy the evening breeze and the typical hospitality of the Marche Pro Loco associations.
