The Frog Festival is one of the most deeply rooted summer events in the territory of Osimo, a city in the Province of Ancona in the heart of Marche. It takes place in the hamlet of Passatempo, at the sports field, and for over forty years has enlivened August evenings with a simple and genuine format: traditional cuisine, food stalls, music, and outdoor dancing. The Frog, Queen of the Table

The symbolic dish of the festival is, of course, the frog, prepared according to the traditional Marche peasant recipe: mainly fried frogs in batter, crispy and golden, but also cooked in other variations. Alongside the specialty that gives the event its name, the stalls offer the typical flavors of the hinterland: grilled meats, skewers, sausages, first courses with meat or fish sauces, and traditional desserts. Everything is served at long outdoor tables, in a convivial atmosphere that is an integral part of the experience.

The Frog Festival is not just about gastronomy: each evening is accompanied by live music, with folk bands and groups that get the audience dancing until late at night.
