The strawberry festival in Buttapietra
Fragolosa is the festival dedicated to the strawberry, one of the fruit and vegetable excellences of the Veronese plain, which every year transforms Buttapietra, in the province of Verona, into a large village of taste. Promoted by the Municipality of Buttapietra with the Pro Loco Moretto, the event enhances the local product and the food and wine culture of the territory, with free admission.
Three days of taste and tradition
The program spans three days, with food stands, the strawberry exhibition, the competition that awards the best producers, and the exhibition of agricultural machinery. There are also moments of celebration and entertainment: from the election of Mr Fragolino and Miss Fragolina to cooking workshops for schoolchildren, up to musical evenings and DJ sets.
A showcase for producers
Fragolosa is above all an opportunity for local strawberry producers to showcase themselves and compare their productions in a dedicated competition. A young but already deeply felt festival, which strengthens the bond between the community of Buttapietra and a symbolic crop of the Veronese plain.
Fragolosa — edition 2026
The second edition of Fragolosa was held from May 1 to 3, 2026 in Buttapietra, in the province of Verona, with the usual aim of promoting the strawberry of the Veronese plain. Three days of taste, sport, music, and tradition animated the town center, with food stands, a producers' competition, an exhibition of agricultural machinery, and entertainment for all ages. The event is promoted by the Municipality of Buttapietra with the Pro Loco Moretto.

Friday, May 1, 2026
- 4:30 PM — 'Mamy Run', guided route along the three springs of Buttapietra, with refreshment at the Alpini Hut
- 5:30 PM — Sports car gathering in Piazza IV Novembre
- 7:00 PM — Opening of the food stands, with entertainment by Corrado DJ
- 7:30 PM — Election of Mr Fragolino & Miss Fragolina
- 9:00 PM — Musical evening 'Viva gli anni 90' (Long live the 90s)
Saturday, May 2, 2026
- 4:00 PM — Cooking workshop with CUOCADE' in the town hall courtyard, for children from Primary and Kindergarten schools
- 5:00 PM — Official opening ceremony of the festival, followed by a parade to the Circolo Noi with the 'Le Penne Nere' Band
- 7:00 PM — Opening of the food stands
Sunday, May 3, 2026
- 5:30 PM — Exhibition of agricultural machinery at Parco Libertà dei Popoli
- 6:00 PM — Inauguration of the Strawberry Exhibition at the Circolo Noi
- 7:00 PM — Opening of the food stands
- 8:00 PM — Awards ceremony for the producers' competition
- In the evening — 'Farmer Night' with Mauro Bia and Federico Zoccante

How to get there
Buttapietra is located south of Verona, reachable by car from the Statale 12 and the Verona ring road. The festival takes place in the town center, in Piazza Roma and adjacent areas.
