The first fair dedicated to photography and video in Sicily
Fotoluce Expò was born in Riposto, a coastal town in the province of Catania, as the first fair entirely dedicated to the world of photography and video ever organized in Sicily. The event is held at Palazzo Vigo, an elegant historic building overlooking the Riposto seafront, and for two days, it transforms the seaside village into a hub for imaging professionals and enthusiasts from across the island.
The program revolves around a packed calendar of conferences and practical activities led by professional photographers. Topics include street photography, travel reportage, maternity photography, and wedding photography, with opportunities for direct interaction between the audience and the speakers. Alongside theoretical sessions, the fair offers live photo sets, field testing sessions, and a street photo walk to capture images in the city under the guidance of an expert.
One of the main attractions of Fotoluce Expò is the presence of major photography and video brands, allowing visitors to get hands-on experience and test the latest equipment directly. Exhibitors and partners include:
The fair is organized by Fotoluce, a Sicilian company active in the sector since 1997 and led by Lucia Spartà, with the patronage of the Municipality of Riposto. The stated goal is to create an annual event capable of combining training, technological innovation, and image culture, while promoting the territory of Ionian Sicily and its seaside location.
Admission to the fair is free: however, mandatory registration is required to attend conferences and limited-capacity activities, such as workshops on photo sets and the photo walk. The free format makes the event accessible to a wide audience, from students and enthusiasts to professionals seeking technical updates.
