Edition 2025 โ€” Food and Wine Journalism Festival

The tenth edition of the Food and Wine Journalism Festival took place from October 10 to 12, 2025, in Galati Mamertino, in the Nebrodi mountains, under the theme "Journalism and flavors: roots to be told." Three days of conferences, book presentations, media panels, and tastings of typical Nebrodi products, with the participation of journalists, writers, producers, and representatives of professional institutions.

The tenth edition: "roots to be told"

From October 10 to 12, 2025, Galati Mamertino celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Food and Wine Journalism Festival, with the theme "Journalism and flavors: roots to be told." Events were held at the Fondazione Crimi conference hall, the Nebrodi Incubator, Tenuta Drago in Nasera, and Portella Gazzana.

Meetings and debates

Among the highlights were the "Journalism Tastes" sessions with speakers such as Luciano Armeli Iapichino, Giacomo Di Girolamo, Francesco Condoluci, and Andrea Graziano, and the talk "From the field to the news: who is in charge, information or the algorithm?" featuring contributions from Concetto Mannisi (Sicilian Order of Journalists), Giuseppe Rizzuto (Press Association), Biagio Semilia, and Andrea Perรฌa. There was also space for Aperilibro sessions, with the presentation of the book "History of Sicilian Gastronomy" by Mario Liberto and "Elsewhere in the South" by Robert V. Camuto, accompanied by tastings guided by oenologist Antonio Campisi.

Programme

Friday, October 10: "Journalism Tastes" with six speakers; conference "From the field to the news: who is in charge, information or the algorithm?" with professional training credits; Aperilibro "History of Sicilian Gastronomy" by Mario Liberto with tasting. Saturday, October 11: "The wealth of supply chains" at Tenuta Drago; panel on responsible tourism and short supply chains; Aperilibro "Elsewhere in the South" by Robert V. Camuto. Sunday, October 12: talks, workshops, show cooking, and meetings between communication professionals, restaurateurs, and institutions.
