Flower Festival

The Flower Festival of Falconara Marittima

The Flower Festival is the solidarity event that, every spring, enlivens Falconara Marittima, in the province of Ancona, in the Marche region. It is organised by the Croce Gialla Falconara ODV A.N.P.AS. Marche, a historic local emergency volunteer association, with the collaboration of the Municipality of Falconara Marittima. The initiative is part of the activities through which the association makes itself known to the citizens and raises funds to support its assistance and emergency services.

A festival in service of volunteering

The heart of the Flower Festival is the fundraiser: the Yellow Cross volunteers set up stalls with seasonal plants and flowers, inviting residents and passers-by to support the cause with a small gesture. Buying a flower or a plant thus becomes a concrete way to contribute to the purchase and maintenance of ambulances and the association's numerous activities, from health transport to assistance during public events.

The Yellow Cross has been a point of reference for Falconara Marittima for decades: a true local institution, capable of mobilising numerous volunteers around the values of mutual aid and community care. The Flower Festival is part of a rich calendar of initiatives with which the association keeps alive the bond with the territory and with the many people who choose to support it every year.

A spring appointment

Held in the heart of spring, the Flower Festival coincides with the season when gardens, balconies, and terraces become colourful again. It is the ideal opportunity to choose blooms and plants to take home, strolling through Falconara with the awareness of participating in a solidarity project deeply rooted in city life.
