Edition 2025 — Sabina Tradition Flavors
The 2025 edition of Flavors of the Sabina Tradition took place on Sunday, December 21, in Scandriglia, in the province of Rieti, organized by the Pro Loco. The day opened at 10:00 AM with Christmas markets along the village streets, enlivened by exhibitors of typical Sabina products and crafts.
At 12:30 PM, the Polentone alla Carbonara Festival took center stage: the polenta seasoned with pancetta and sausage, a traditional charcoal burner's dish, was prepared by local cooks according to ancient recipes and served in the heated marquee along with fried pizza, sweets, extra virgin olive oil, and mulled wine.
In the afternoon, the Christmas atmosphere engaged both adults and children: folk dances and music with the Gruppo Folk i Musicanti, the delivery of letters to Santa Claus, and entertainment by Mago Mario brought the day to a festive close.
