The Flame Festival, Ancona's Musical Summer

The Flame Festival is the major summer concert series that ignites the summer of the Marche capital each year. Promoted by Futura Unisce with the patronage and support of the Municipality of Ancona, the festival brings top artists from the Italian and international scene together in just a few weeks, confirming Ancona as one of the capitals of live music in the Marche.

Piazza Cavour, the Arena in the Heart of the City

The main stage for the 2026 edition is set up in Piazza Cavour, the large 19th-century square that represents Ancona's main gathering place. Transformed into a summer arena capable of hosting thousands of spectators, the square offers a striking urban setting, just a short walk from the historic center and the sea. In previous editions, the festival had also animated the Arena sul Mare (Arena by the Sea) in the Old Port, confirming the deep connection between the event and the city's coastal landscape.

The 2026 Program

The 2026 edition features a lineup spanning genres and generations. Among the announced headliners:

• Subsonica on July 25th, with the "Terre Rare 96-26" tour celebrating the Turin band's thirty-year career;
• Francesco Gabbani on July 29th;
• Emma on August 1st with "Emma Live 2026";
• Eddie Brock on August 2nd with the "Summer Live Tour".

Adding to the lineup is the announced presence of the Grupo Compay Segundo of the Buena Vista Social Club, for an evening with a Latin and world music flavor. The concerts, generally scheduled for 9:00 PM, make Piazza Cavour a crossroads for diverse audiences, from electronic rock to pop, from singer-songwriters to Cuban sounds.

More than just a series of concerts, the Flame Festival has become an identity-defining event for Ancona and the Marche region: a festival that brings major national tours to the city, enhances urban spaces, and contributes to the cultural and tourist offerings of the Marche summer. Tickets for individual concerts are on sale through the main ticketing circuits (Live Nation, TicketOne, Ticketmaster, Vivaticket). As this is a paid event for the major concerts, it is advisable to purchase tickets in advance, especially for the most anticipated shows on the lineup.
