A widespread festival in Valceresio

The Festival Piambello dal Vivo is a travelling theatre review that crosses Valceresio, in the Varese area, transforming twelve municipalities into as many stages. Squares, woods, villas, trails, and places of memory become settings for theatre, street theatre, circus, and dance performances. Among the municipalities involved is also Induno Olona, in the province of Varese, which hosts one of the stops on the rich programme.

Theatre, circus, and dance for everyone

The festival offers dozens of free performances distributed throughout the season, from May to December. The programming is deliberately varied and accessible: from street theatre to contemporary circus, from dance to site-specific performances designed to interact with the locations that host them. Among the innovations of recent editions, there are also performances using sign language and featuring deaf artists on stage, indicating a concrete focus on inclusion.

The Induno Olona stop

In Induno Olona, the festival brings one of the events from the programme to evocative spaces in the municipality, such as Corte Don Andrea Riva. The performance is part of the broader review, which accompanies the Valceresio community throughout the summer and autumn, culminating in the grand finale in December with a travelling performance.

Promoted by Intrecci Teatrali along with local organisations, Piambello dal Vivo is one of the longest-running and most established theatre festivals in the Varese area.
