A journey through the cultures, arts, and flavors of Asia at Brixia Forum
The Festival of the East transforms Brescia's Brixia Forum into a grand gateway to Asia. For two weekends in February, the pavilions in Via Caprera are filled with the cultures, arts, and flavors of the Asian continent, with a major event that attracts visitors from all over Lombardy.
The program is incredibly rich: traditional shows, folk dances, concerts, martial arts demonstrations, and ritual ceremonies take place throughout the day, from 10 AM to 8:30 PM. Visitors can witness rituals and performances that tell the traditions of Japan, China, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Korea, and many other Asian cultures.
Alongside the shows, a section is dedicated to well-being: workshops and conferences on yoga, meditation, holistic disciplines, and Eastern philosophies offer a more intimate and reflective experience. Treatments and massages are also available, in a journey that unites body and spirit.
The journey also passes through the table: the gastronomic offer ranges from Japanese sushi to spicy Indian dishes, from Thai street food to Chinese sweets. The exhibition areas feature crafts, clothing, musical instruments, incense, tea, and natural products. A multisensory feast that, for a few days, makes Brixia Forum a crossroads of cultures in the heart of Brescia.
