Edition 2025 — Festival of Seupa

In 2025, the Festival of Seupa à la Vapelenentse animated Valpelline from July 25 to 28, confirming the success of one of the longest-running gastronomic festivals in the Aosta Valley. Between Holy Masses, lunches and dinners featuring the famous bread and Fontina soup, dancing evenings, and the patronal feast, the village welcomed thousands of visitors over the weekend.

The Festival of Seupa à la Vapelenentse 2025 took place in Valpelline from Friday, July 25 to Monday, July 28, coinciding with the patronal feast. The Pro Loco prepared the traditional Seupa — stale white bread and Fontina cheese baked with broth, melted butter, and cinnamon — served during the large communal meals.

As per tradition, the festival opened on Friday with the inaugural evening and unfolded over the weekend with masses, lunches and dinners featuring Seupa, dancing evenings with live bands, and moments of entertainment, culminating in the patronal day on Monday. The event attracted residents, tourists, and fans of Aosta Valley cuisine, reaffirming the deep connection between Valpelline and its symbolic dish, protected by the Communal Designation of Origin.
