The patronal feast of Tambre
The Festival of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus is the patronal feast of Tambre, a mountain village in the Municipality of Alpago, in the province of Belluno. It takes place in July, around the commemoration of the two patron saints celebrated on July 12th, and is one of the most cherished events of the Alpago summer.
Flavors of the Belluno mountains
The heart of the festival is the food stand, offering traditional dishes: grilled meats, chicken, cheeses, and polenta, expressions of a simple and generous mountain cuisine. The evenings are enlivened by music and dancing, while for children there is a playground and dedicated entertainment.
Between Alpago and Cansiglio
Tambre is the highest village in the Alpago basin, overlooking the Cansiglio plateau. The festival is also an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Venetian mountains, characterized by nature, traditions, and hospitality, a short distance from Lake Santa Croce and the Belluno Dolomites.
Festival of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus — edition 2026
The Festival of Saints Hermagoras and Fortunatus returns to Tambre in July 2026. Local press (Corriere delle Alpi) has included the festival among the patronal feasts of Alpago scheduled for summer 2026, along with those of Puos and Pieve d'Alpago.
The precise dates and the gastronomic and musical program will be announced by the organizers in the weeks preceding the event.
