The patronal feast of the Pearl of Molise
Bagnoli del Trigno, in the province of Isernia, is known as the Pearl of Molise for the picturesque way its houses are nestled among enormous rocks and around the castle. On August 20th, the village celebrates its principal patron saint, Saint Vitalis, with the patronal feast.
On the eve, August 19th, the traditional Saint Vitalis Fair is held, with stalls and merchandise along the village streets. On the feast day, the community gathers for religious rites and a procession in honor of the saint, in an atmosphere of strong popular participation that is part of Bagnoli del Trigno's rich summer calendar.
