The patronal feast of Comenduno

The Festival of Saint Alexander is the patronal feast of the hamlet of Comenduno, in the Municipality of Albino (province of Bergamo). Saint Alexander is also the patron saint of the city of Bergamo, and in Comenduno his feast becomes a ten-day celebration that combines the religious dimension with the popular one, with the Oratory of Comenduno as the heart of the event.

Between faith and memory

The religious program includes masses, the procession with the statue of the saint, and, the most evocative moment, the historical re-enactment of the martyrdom of Saint Alexander in front of the church. At the end of the procession, the fireworks display lights up the hamlet's sky, in one of the most anticipated events.

Food, music, and tradition

Alongside the rites, the festival offers ten evenings of conviviality: dinners under the marquee with local dishes, tombolas with prizes, DJ sets and ballroom dancing, tribute bands dedicated to Queen, Cremonini, ABBA, and Coldplay, as well as puppet theater for the little ones and the traditional pirlì tournament, a popular game of Bergamasque tradition. A complete festival, capable of bringing all of Comenduno together and welcoming those who visit the Valle Seriana at the end of summer.
