Grumello's Volunteers Celebrate
In the Municipality of Grumello del Monte (Province of Bergamo), the Festival of Associations is the moment when the local volunteer world comes together. Promoted by Avis, Aido, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Alpine Group, and the Artillery Group, the event transforms the Alpine Chapel in Codera into a community gathering point.
Food, Pizza, and Tombola
For five consecutive evenings, usually around the last weekend of June, the festival offers food and pizza services, accompanied by the traditional tombola (bingo). It's a genuine village festival, where volunteers from the associations cook and serve, and where the convivial atmosphere is an integral part of the experience.
A Festival of Solidarity
The deep meaning of the event is solidarity: the proceeds from the festival are donated to support initiatives for the community, such as the traditional lunch offered to the village elders. A concrete example of how, in the towns of the Bergamo area, popular festivals and civic engagement intertwine, focusing on people and community bonds.
Festival of Associations — edition 2026
A new edition of the Festival of Associations is expected at the Codera Alpine Chapel in 2026. As in previous years, the event should take place over several evenings at the end of June, with food, pizza, and tombola managed by volunteers from Avis, Aido, and other local associations.
