San Siro, Patron Saint of Rota d'Imagna

December 9th is the day when Rota d'Imagna, a municipality in Valle Imagna in the province of Bergamo, celebrates its patron saint, San Siro. The village's parish church is dedicated to Saints Siro and Gottardo, Bishops, protectors of the community.

San Siro, the first bishop of Pavia, is a revered figure in various locations in northern Italy. In Rota d'Imagna, his feast day represents one of the most heartfelt events of the year, a fixed-date recurrence that falls during Advent, just a few days before Christmas.
