The Patronal Festival of the SS. Assunta is the most important event for Somaglia, a municipality in the Province of Lodi in the lower Lombardy plain. The town's patron saint is Maria Santissima Assunta, celebrated on August 15th, the day of the solemnity of the Assumption which coincides with Ferragosto.
