The patron saints of Rovellasca

Rovellasca, a small municipality in the province of Como, celebrates its patron saints, Saints Peter and Paul, every year on June 29th. The patronal festival revolves around the town's parish church, dedicated to the two apostles. The current building has a long history: the original chapel, built in the 14th century, was dedicated to Saint Mary; during the 19th century, with the expansion of the side aisles between 1849 and 1851, the dedication was changed to honour Saints Peter and Paul.

The heart of the festival is the religious celebration: the solemn Mass in honour of the patron saints brings the entire parish community together.
