A village that becomes magical
Every year, on a weekend in June, Cassinetta di Lugagnano, a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Milan included among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, hosts the Festa nel Borgo. The event, organised by Eventi Doc di Myriam Vallegra, transforms the village overlooking the Naviglio Grande into a widespread showcase of art, crafts, music, theatre, and good food.
Art, crafts, and flavours
The heart of the festival is the market exhibition with artisans and artists, who liven up the streets and squares of the centre with their creations. Alongside the market, the food and wine offerings and street food fill the festival with aromas, while creative workshops, face painting, and a play area make the event perfect for families.
From the White Night to the Summer Festival
On Saturday, the festival continues late into the evening with the White Night, featuring shows for all ages and music throughout; on Sunday, it is dedicated to the Summer Festival, accompanying the public all day. The setting of Parco De André and the Naviglio Grande, in a town within the Ticino Park on the outskirts of Milan, does the rest: the Festa nel Borgo is one of the best opportunities to discover the beauty of this corner of Lombardy.

The Festa nel Borgo returns to Cassinetta di Lugagnano on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2026, transforming the village on the Naviglio Grande into a showcase of art, crafts, music, theatre, and good food.
Two days full of offerings: a market exhibition with artisans and artists, street food and food and wine, creative workshops, face painting, a play area, and shows for all ages. On Saturday, the festival continues with the White Night, and on Sunday with the Summer Festival.

- Saturday, June 13 (3:00 PM - 12:00 AM) — opening of the craft and art market, street food and food and wine, creative workshops and face painting, play area, shows for all ages; in the evening, the White Night with music throughout
- Sunday, June 14 (10:00 AM - 11:00 PM) — Summer Festival: continuation of the market exhibition, activities for families, street food, shows, and music throughout the day
