Music takes centre stage on the summer solstice
The European Music Day is the international event that every June 21st, coinciding with the summer solstice, fills cities across Europe with concerts. In Vigevano, in the Province of Pavia, the festival is part of the Italian national calendar and brings music to the spaces of the Sforza Castle, particularly along the scenic Elevated Road.
A festival open to all
The principle of the Music Day is total openness: all musicians, regardless of their ensemble type, musical genre, and age, can perform after free and open registration. This makes the event a mosaic of styles and generations, from emerging bands to amateur ensembles, on a day that celebrates music as a shared language.

The Italian edition is promoted nationally and coordinated locally by the Diapason consortium. Theme of the 32nd Italian edition: "The Voice of Places", dedicated to music as an expression of the identity of the territories. All musicians, regardless of genre and age, can perform after free and open registration.
