The patronal festival of Comenduno

The Festa di Sant'Alessandro is the patronal festival of the hamlet of Comenduno, in the Municipality of Albino (province of Bergamo). Sant'Alessandro is also the patron saint of the city of Bergamo, and in Comenduno his festival becomes a ten-day celebration that combines the religious and popular dimensions, with the Oratorio di Comenduno as the heart of the event.

Between faith and memory

The religious program includes masses, the procession with the statue of the saint, and the most evocative moment, the historical reenactment of the martyrdom of Sant'Alessandro in front of the church. At the end of the procession, the fireworks display lights up the hamlet's sky, in one of the most anticipated events.

Food, music, and tradition

Alongside the rituals, the festival offers ten evenings of conviviality: dinners under the marquee with local dishes, tombola (bingo) with prizes, DJ sets and ballroom dancing, tribute bands dedicated to Queen, Cremonini, ABBA, and Coldplay, as well as puppet theatre for the little ones and the traditional pirlì tournament, a popular game from the Bergamasco tradition. A complete festival, capable of bringing all of Comenduno together and welcoming those visiting the Valle Seriana at the end of summer.
